It is important to ensure that the levels of water in the pool are not too low or too high. The level of water should be at the centre level of the skimmer or the pool tile. This is important to ensure that the pool tile and the skimmer are efficient in performing their work. If the level of water in the pool is lower than recommended, it may run the pump dry and lead to burning up of the pump. On the other hand, if the level of water in the pool is too high, then the door of the skimmer may not be functional. This therefore may lead to leaking of the debris from the skimmer and therefore lead your pool to be dirty.

Regular cleaning of the tile line helps to reduce the accumulation of dirt and debris on the pool. The pH of the pool should be kept at 7.2. This way, it will be more difficult for the scum to develop and stick onto the surface of the walls. Contrary to that, a higher pH of the water results in deposition on everything and all surfaces of the pool.

• Take care of the cracks on the perimeter of the pool
Sometimes, you may begin to see cracks occurring on the perimeter of the pool, just between the deck and the tile. In such an occurrence, it is important that you fill the cracks with a bead of silicon. Do not let the water to move from the pool into the deck through the developed racks. This is because in the future, this may ked to very disastrous damages to the pool that would have otherwise been avoided.
